We had our first regular season hockey game the other night and it was a big success - they won the match and Jake and I stayed for the entire game. Jake is pretty interested in the hockey game, so he sat for almost two periods. After the game, he ran wild in the VIP area with one of the other little boys, a four year old who speaks Czech. I've never seen him laugh so hard without any tickling involved; he had so much fun.
After the game, they have champagne and a snack for players, family and sponsors. On this particular night, it was an oyster bar, an entire table of French cheeses and lots of baguettes. This received a lot of complaints from the players as it's not exactly the most filling post-game option. Once Jake was tucked into bed, most of the players went out for burgers at a nearby pub.
