He loves to identify things in his books: dog, balloon, puck, kittens, baby, bird, flag, flowers, moon... he never grows tired of it and I usually only have to point-out something new once. I can say, "this is a grain shed" and he remembers. Grain shed, check.
His vocabulary is rapidly expanding and he is learning new words daily. Some of his favorites include: mom, dad, goal, dirt, bye, cheese, stick, done and boo. It's especially cute when he tries to say boo to people on the train because normally, as soon as we leave the house he is so shy and quiet.
If he is not reading, he is playing hockey. It's practically the only thing he will do on his own for five minutes. After about five minutes he will bring me or Billy the second hockey stick.
He loves anything with a power switch and can turn anything on/off, including the: tv, dishwasher, computer, iPad, vacuum and dryer. Ugh!
He is also quite the little helper. He puts his toys away in the toy bin, stacks his books, unloads the utensils from the dishwasher, if he gets ahold of paper towel he will wipe-up pretend spills and he loves throwing things into the garbage.
This is such a fun age.
